for a reason

you wrote that
things happen
or don’t happen
for a reason

but for how
can this be true
your life, undone
void of warm sun

there is no reason
that could exist
to make sense
of the gone loved one

this advice
caring and kind
was the one untruth
not spoken, by the heartbroken
